Description

This room is for non-musical audio or video recording, including conference presentations, job interviews, podcast recording, voice recording, instructional recording, and other related uses. This is not a group study room.

The Recording Room contains a whiteboard, a desktop computer and desk and the following movable furniture: two side chairs, a side table, and an office chair. Sound baffling panels are available upon request to muffle any hallway noise. 

There is no eating allowed in the Recording Room. Only drinks with secure lids are allowed. Clean up after yourself, including wiping down surfaces with appropriate cleaners (provided in the room).

Do you need any technology for your appointment? The Library has webcams, headset microphones, microphones, headphones, ring lights, video cameras, and other technology available through our Tech Tools Lending Program. More information and a link to the required Borrower's Agreement Form can be found on our website.

Schedule use of our Main Campus Library Recording Room (5-213). Priority is for students, faculty, and staff who need a space for audio or video-specific use. The space is not suitable for studio recording. The room has different visual zones and movable furniture for video backdrops. Maximum reservation time: 2 hours without additional approval-- email library@durhamtech.edu for additional time needs. There is no eating allowed in the Recording Room. Only drinks with secure lids are allowed. Please clean up after yourself. To use the Recording Room at your appointment time, please go to the Circulation Desk by the entry door of the Main Campus Library. You will check out the room using a library account for the duration of your appointment. Need to update or create a library account to for check out? Bring a photo ID (preferably your Durham Tech ID) to the Library desk or fill out our online registration form. Request use of additional technology from our Tech Tools available for checkout. Borrower's Agreement required.
